Steve ran Chance KS vom Riverwoods and Chance's daughter Visa vom Riverwoods at the Kettle Moraine Chapter NAVHDA utility test November 3,2007 and recieved a prize 1(204) with both.
Congrats to Roy Ames of Keljer Kennels and VC Bonnie vom Keljer for running in and completing the NAVHDA Invatational with a maximum score cof 200 and earning the title of Versatile Champion!!!
Vega vom Riverwoods a daughter of Chance KS vom Riverwoods earned a prize 1 (136) maximun score at the IKP she was also rated V3 of all females entered. Her sister Villa vom Riverwoods was also rated V at the IKP.
Tim Conley of Montgomery Creek Kennels ran two Chance KS vom Riverwoods grand daughters Charizma and Czaritza in NAVHDA NA on October 6,2007 and recieved a prize1 (112) with both.
September 2007 Visa vom Riverwoods and Ciro vom Keljer passed their German breed test with all 4's and a prize 1.
Ciro vom Keljer a Chance son earned a NAVHDA Utility prize 1 (202) at 13 months. Ciro has also recieved a NAVHDA NA prize 1 (112) and a prize 1 at his NADKC Derby test. This was all accomplished by a first time handler.
Chance KS vom Riverwoods went 4 for 4 earning V1 (excellent) conformation ratings from four International Judges at four tests. Achieving this, gained Chance the title of International Champion (UCICB).
Keljer's Morgan's Pride ran by Ron Rabuck of River Bottom Kennels earned a prize 1(204) at her NAVHDA UT test in May 2007. Ron also ran Champ vom Keljer for a Derby prize 1 in June and a Solms prize 1 in October.
Thank's goes to Lynn Erickson of Herbst Briese Kennels for running her pup Keljer's Cleo and receiving a prize 1(105) at her NAVHDA NA test in June 2007. Keljer's Otis owned and handeled by Wally Richardson earned a NAVHDA NA (112) prize 1 GREAT JOB!!!Keljer's Elli also took home a NAVHDA NA prize 1 (110)!!!
Congrats to Roy Ames and Zsazsa (Isa) vom Riverwoods as well as Cassie vom Keljer for earning a prize 1 at the April 14,2007 Derby in Seneca IL.
Two Chance KS vom Riverwoods daughters: Vega vom Riverwoods handled by Hermann Josef Schomakers and Villa vom Riverwoods handled by Rob Engelking passed their Derby, Solms, and VGP tests receiving all Prize 1 scores. This was accomplished during their Derby breed year.

Kennels is located in northern Illinois just outside of Chicago. With Michigan
and Wisconsin to the north for grouse and woodcock, and Iowa and the Dakota's
to the west for pheasant and sharptails, this is great bird dog country made
for great bird dogs.

Kennels takes the job of producing German Shorthairs seriously. We are
committed to preserving and improving the qualities that make the GSP the great
versatile hunting dog it is today.
Breeding
only one or two litters a year, we're not in the business of mass production.
We are hunters, breeding better dogs, for hunters. More importantly, we PROVE
our dogs before we ever consider breeding them. When you get a puppy from
us, you can rest assured that it comes from parents that have excelled in
testing and wild bird hunting.

We don't
hang our reputation on the grandparents and great grandparents of our dogs,
although our dogs come from some of the best lines. If a dog doesn't meet
standards we set forth, it won't be used in our breeding program.
Rigorous testing is the foundation of our breeding program philosophy. With a
standard to compare to, we can look at the strengths or weaknesses of a dog
before determining if it should be used for breeding. We breed for desire,
drive, and intelligence. Those traits, and a great temperament make up what we
feel is the "perfect" shorthair. A dog that is equally at home quartering the
field as it is playing with the kids in the yard.
